Prior to deriving this version of the Bare Earth Hillshade, the 2022 Bare Earth DTM was reprojected from UTM Zone 10 (with ground elevation pixel values in meters) to CA State Plane II (with pixel values in feet).

These lidar-derived data products are provided to Sonoma County as part of a larger 10-county effort to acquire lidar and prepare derivative products. Dates of collection vary by county and the best available (most recent and highest quality) point cloud data was used for any given area. The various point clouds were harmonized into a single, unified point cloud for the counties. From the unified point cloud, 36 raster lidar derivatives were created for each county. See the datasheet ( https://tukmangeospatial.egnyte.com/dl/ADWSBBL7ac ) for information on collection dates and to access the original DTM (in UTM Zone 10N, meters), lidar point cloud, and other derivative products

A bare earth digital terrain model (DTM) represents the earth's surface with all vegetation and human-made structures removed. The bare earth DTMs were derived from LiDAR data using triangulated irregular network (TIN) processing of the ground point returns. It is created using the max elevation detected for each pixel at the desired resolution.
Original Coordinate System: NAD 1983 (2011) UTM Zone 10N
Projected Coordinate System: State Plane NAD 1983 (2011), CA Zone II, US Survey Feet
Horizontal Datum: NAD 1983 2011
Vertical Coordinate System: NAVD88 (Geoid 18)
Pixel size = 1-meter
LiDAR Derivatives for 14 California Counties
https://tukmangeospatial.egnyte.com/dl/ADWSBBL7ac
