The names of the streams are also in the process of being updated/corrected. The current rectification status of the stream segments are represented by the RECT_STATUS field. 0 = Unrectified; 1 = Reviewed but requires further research; 2 = Rectified. Final review of the rectification is still pending. The SCGISDB10 field contains the primary name for the streams. When a stream has more than one name associated with it, the additional names are stored in the AKA field.
The stream layer was originally acquired by the Sonoma County Water Agency from the County of Sonoma GIS Central. In August of 2005, inquiries were made to the GIS/IDS department at the County of Sonoma as to the lineage of the layer. The GIS department provided the HYD_USGSSTRM.xml as the source of the layer.</abstract>
<purpose>The initial purpose is to more accurately represent stream centerlines relative to the County's 2000 black and white aerials rectified to NAD 83. This will then be used for a multitude of purposes in the Agency's stream maintenance program.</purpose>

Please see the field defintions for more information. The stream layer was originally acquired by the Sonoma County Water Agency from the County of Sonoma GIS Central. In August of 2005, inquiries were made to the GIS/IDS department at the County of Sonoma as to the lineage of the layer. The GIS department provided the HYD_USGSSTRM.xml as the source of the layer.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</idAbs>
<idPurp>The initial purpose is to more accurately represent stream centerlines relative to the County's 2011 aerial imagery rectified to NAD 83. This will then be used for a multitude of purposes in the Agency's stream maintenance program.</idPurp>
<idCredit>Original data set came from the County of Sonoma Central GIS. The rectification process, stream naming reconciliation and classification is an ongoing process undertaken by the Sonoma County Water Agency (SCWA) and was initiated by Andrew Stinnett. The Water Agency GIS staff is the major contributor and continues to do so at the time of this entry.</idCredit>
