Bay Area Coast Line
To provide a means to add a seperate coast outline to compliment poliitical outlines of bay area counties using sperate symbology for each element if desired, for enhanced cartographic output and options. Also provides wider area context if necessary.
<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>Originally extracted from CDF&G California Counties ArcINFO coverage included with the CNDDB data, and re-projected from Albers to Cal State Plane Zone 2 NAD 83. Modifications have been made to the features that make up the costal boundary for the County of Sonoma. They were moved to reflect the County Boundary as indicated by the USGS on the 7.5' quadrangles or the most current orthophotography avaialbe at the time. Since this was a physical boundary feature class, policital boundaries over water were removed and only the phyical shoreline was retained. Counties included in the set range from Mendocino County in the north to Santa Cruz and Sacramento Counties in the south and east respectively.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
