The Vegetation/Canopy Height Model (CHM) represents the maximum height above ground in feet considering default (class 1), ground (class 2), and vegetation (class 5) returns. Values below 0.25 meters above ground have been set to 0. For this version of the CHM, the 2022 Bare Earth CHM was reprojected from UTM Zone 10 (with height pixel values in meters) to CA State Plane II (with pixel values in feet). The data were also resampled from a 1-meter cell size to a 3-feet cell size using the bilinear interpolation method to align with the 2013 CHM. Note that the vertical coordinate system of the 2022 CHM is DIFFERENT than the vertical coordinate system of the 2013 data. These lidar-derived data products are provided to Sonoma County as part of a larger 10-county effort to acquire lidar and prepare derivative products. Dates of collection vary by county and the best available (most recent and highest quality) point cloud data was used for any given area. The various point clouds were harmonized into a single, unified point cloud for the counties. From the unified point cloud, 36 raster lidar derivatives were created for each county. See the datasheet ( https://tukmangeospatial.egnyte.com/dl/ADWSBBL7ac ) for information on collection dates and to access the original DTM (in UTM Zone 10N, meters), lidar point cloud, and other derivative products. |
