Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN>GIS staff worked on creating a replacement map for the previous standard map of Sonoma County. Part of the process involved improving the labels on the new map. This means both the names and how the labels appear on the map. In this case it was decided to create lines that follow the general trend of the feature and then attribute those features with the name of the geographic feature they follow. Rendering the lines not visible and using them to produce labels that follow the feature is the intended use of this feature class. These lines are a mix of features from the USGS and ISD-GIS staff created.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
